How to Apply Indigo Knifing Paste Filler – A Professional Guide
A perfect finish is all about the preparation. Follow these steps for professional results.
- Surface Preparation: The surface must be clean, dry, and free of all dust, grease, and loose rust. Sand the surface with 180-grit abrasive paper and wipe it clean.
- Priming (MANDATORY): This putty must be applied over a primer.
- For Metal: Apply one coat of a metal primer like Indigo Red Oxide Metal Primer or Indigo Zinc Chromate Primer. Let it dry completely.
- For Wood: Apply one coat of a wood primer like Indigo Primer Surfacer (White). Let it dry completely.
