COSMOS High Heat Spray Paint
Give your high-temperature surfaces a finish that’s built to last with COSMOS High Heat Spray Paint. This technologically advanced coating is engineered to withstand the intense demands of objects exposed to extreme heat. Whether you’re a professional mechanic, a workshop owner, or a DIY enthusiast, this spray paint provides a robust, protective, and aesthetically pleasing finish that won’t burn off or discolour.
Formulated with a unique blend of heat-resistant resins and pigments, it creates a durable bond that protects metal surfaces from rust and corrosion, even under the most extreme operating conditions. It is the definitive solution for restoring and protecting parts that are subject to rapid temperature changes.
Key Features:
- Extreme Temperature Resistance: Specially designed to withstand intermittent temperatures of up to 600°C (1200°F), making it perfect for a wide range of high-heat applications.
- Superior Durability: Creates a tough, matte finish that resists peeling, flaking, and blistering when exposed to high heat, ensuring a long-lasting and effective coating.
- Excellent Rust Protection: Adheres directly to metal to form a protective barrier that prevents moisture and air from causing rust and corrosion.
- Stops-Rust Formula: Neutralizes existing rust and prevents new rust from forming, significantly extending the life of your metal equipment.
- Fast-Drying & Easy to Apply: The convenient aerosol can allows for easy application on complex shapes and hard-to-reach areas. The formula dries quickly to a durable finish.
- Professional Finish: Provides a clean, uniform coating that restores the look of worn-out, heat-exposed parts, making them look new again. Available in classic heat-resistant colours like black and silver.
Ideal Applications:
This paint is essential for surfaces that experience high operational heat, including:
- Automotive: Exhaust manifolds, engine blocks, headers, and silencers.
- Motorcycles: Engine cylinders and exhaust pipes.
- Industrial: Furnaces, boilers, chimneys, and machinery components.
- Home: Barbecue grills, fire pits, wood-burning stoves, and stovepipes.
Application & Curing Instructions:
Proper curing is critical for achieving maximum heat resistance.
- Surface Preparation: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from oil, grease, and loose rust. Sand the surface for optimal adhesion. Do not use a primer, as it will burn off.
- Application: Shake the can vigorously for one minute. Hold the can 25-30 cm from the surface and apply 2-3 light, even coats, allowing 15 minutes between each coat.
- Heat Curing (Essential): The paint film must be heat-cured to fully harden and achieve its heat-resistant properties.
- Let the painted item air-dry for at least one hour.
- Heat the item to 200°C for one hour. Alternatively, run the engine or light the grill/stove, allowing the item to heat up gradually and cure the paint naturally through operational heat. Smoke and fumes may be generated during the initial curing process; ensure the area is well-ventilated.
