How to Use (General Steps)
Always refer to the specific instructions on the product packaging.
- Preparation: The surface must be clean, dry, and free from dust, rust, oil, or grease. Abrading the surface (e.g., with emery paper) is recommended for better binding.
- Mix: Cut or twist off the required amount of the putty. Knead with your fingers until the two different colors are uniformly mixed into a single color (usually a uniform shade of green/grey/black). This starts the chemical reaction.
- Apply: Apply the mixed putty forcefully to the surface to be repaired within the working time (10-13 minutes).Force it into any cracks or holes.
- Wet Application: If applying to a damp or wet/leaking area, work the material forcefully and hold pressure until the adhesion begins.
- Finish: You can smooth the appearance of the compound by hand-rubbing it with water or a damp cloth before it hardens.
- Cure: Allow the putty to set. The fast setting time is an advantage for quick repairs.
