Indigo Damp Stop 2K (Protect Plus): Ultimate 2-Component Cementitious Waterproofing System
Move beyond temporary fixes and give your property the ultimate, long-lasting protection with Indigo Damp Stop 2K. This is a premium, polymer-modified, two-component waterproofing coating composed of a liquid polymer and a special cement-based powder. When mixed, they form a seamless, highly flexible, and impenetrable membrane that provides exceptional waterproofing for concrete and masonry surfaces, even under high hydrostatic pressure.
Key Features & Benefits:
- Two-Component (2K) Power: The dual-component formula creates a significantly stronger, denser, and more durable waterproof barrier compared to standard single-pack coatings.
- Resists High Hydrostatic Pressure: Expertly engineered to withstand up to 7 bars of positive water pressure, making it the perfect solution for structures like water tanks, retaining walls, and basements.
- Superior Flexibility & Crack Bridging: The polymer-modified membrane remains highly flexible after curing, accommodating minor structural movements and bridging hairline cracks without rupturing.
- Positive & Negative Side Application: Uniquely versatile, it can be applied from the positive side (the side exposed to water) or the negative side (the side opposite to water exposure), making it ideal for challenging basement waterproofing.
- Excellent Adhesion: Forms a powerful, permanent bond with cementitious substrates like concrete, plaster, and brickwork, preventing delamination.
- Non-Toxic & Safe for Water Tanks: Being free from chlorides and other corrosive substances, it is certified safe for waterproofing potable water storage tanks.
Recommended Application Areas:
This is a heavy-duty solution for the most demanding areas:
- Concrete Water Tanks, Sumps, and Reservoirs
- Basements, Cellars, and Retaining Walls
- Terraces, Rooftops, and Balconies (as a base coat before tile or screed)
- Bathrooms, Kitchens, and other Wet Areas
- Swimming Pools and Water Features
How to Apply:
- Surface Preparation: Clean the surface to remove all dust, grease, and loose particles. Repair any cracks or honeycombs. The surface must be pre-wetted to a saturated surface dry (SSD) condition before application.
- Mixing: Pour the liquid polymer into a clean container. Gradually add the powder component while continuously stirring with a mechanical stirrer (400-500 rpm) until a smooth, lump-free consistency is achieved.
- Application: Apply the first coat of the mixed material using a stiff brush. Allow it to dry for 4-6 hours.
- Second Coat: Apply the second coat in a direction perpendicular to the first coat to ensure a seamless, pinhole-free film.
- Curing: Allow the system to air cure for at least 72 hours. For exposed surfaces like roofs, moist curing by sprinkling water is recommended for 24-48 hours.
